AE: When did you realize that you wanted to be an architect?
GIOVANNA: architecture and engineering in my family have always been on the agenda. Beyond the family and influences attitudes and natural propensities, I think about choosing to become an architect has influenced decisively the being grown in Reggio Calabria.
For years I looked around me, the contrast between the destruction of illegal and the beauty of a landscape like few in the world, imagining – drawing – perhaps even dreaming, the transformation of what was around me. Actually I keep doing it again today. If I lived in another city, probably would have been different.
